AAT-AD/PD™ 2020 Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you to everyone who attended the entirely virtual AAT-AD/PD™ 2020 Focus Meeting. Please see below the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the Meeting.

I have already registered for the Meeting in Vienna. Am I automatically registered for the Virtual Meeting?

Yes, you are automatically registered for the Virtual Meeting. Instruction on how access the virtual meeting platform has been sent to your registered email in your Dear Participant letter.

Will the Virtual Meeting take place at the same time as the original Meeting?

Yes, the Virtual Meeting will be streamed between April 1-5, 2020.

How do I register for the Virtual Meeting?

What will be available to me as a registered participant?

The AAT-AD/PD™ 2020 will offer you a full virtual experience and the opportunity to take part in every aspect of the Meeting, including:

  • Access the full Meeting program – presentations, symposia, webcast sessions, live streamed forum discussion and Meet the Professor sessions. Create your own schedule, attend any and all lectures you want, when and where you want
  • Network with colleagues – browse a list of participants and click on their name to contact them
  • Earn CME credits – participate in the scientific program and earn up to 27 European CME credits
  • Access all the e-posters – browse research on the hottest topics in the field by colleagues from around the world
  • Join the debate – interact with live Forum Discussions carefully scheduled to allow participation from all over the world, regardless of time zones
  • Give feedback – take a short survey and rate the scientific quality of the session
  • Visit the virtual exhibition hall – journey through the exhibition booths, explore the displayed materials, contact exhibitors directly and chat with other visitors

Will it be possible to get CME points at the Virtual Meeting?

Yes, you will be able to earn up to 27 CME points when attending sessions during the Virtual Meeting. As usual the CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit claiming procedure. The online evaluation will be active on Monday, 06 April. Will I still receive CME points if I register after the initial meeting dates?

Yes, you will be able to earn up to 27 CME points when attending sessions during the Virtual Meeting up to June 30. Learn more at https://aat-adpd.kenes.com/cme-cpd-information/

I will not be available from 1-5 April. Will I still be able to access the Virtual Meeting content?

The content will be available on demand for a period of 3 months after the Meeting ends for all registered participants only.

What if I am not available during certain sessions?

All sessions and lectures will be available on-demand in the AAT-AD/PD™ Virtual Meeting platform.

What do I need to attend the Virtual Meeting?

To attend the Virtual Meeting you need a good internet connection, your computer/laptop and a headset/headphones as well as a valid registration. If you have already registered, you will receive login details a few days prior to the meeting.

How can I attend the live-streamed “Forum Discussion” and “Meet the Professor” sessions?

If you are already registered for the Virtual Meeting, here is what you need to do to join the live sessions:

Forum Discussion

  1. Connect your headset
  2. Click on the Forum & Meet the Professors tab on the virtual meeting header menu
  3. Choose the Forum you would like to participate in
  4. Add to Calendar to keep track of the event in your own time zone
  5. At the time of the event, click on “Click to Attend”
  6. Type a question for the panel in the text box and submit

Meet the Professor

  1. Connect your headset
  2. Click on the Forum & Meet the Professors tab on the virtual meeting header menu
  3. Choose the expert who you would like to speak to
  4. Add to Calendar to keep track of the event in your own time zone
  5. At the time of the event, click on “Click to Attend”
  6. Click the “Raise Hand” button to get the Professor’s attention
  7. Click “Unmute Myself” to ask the Professor a question live

Will all sessions and meetings be organized online?

AAT-AD/PD™ is doing its best to ensure that the fullest program is available.

Is there an abstract book?

There is no abstract book. Abstracts can be viewed only though the App and Virtual Meeting platform.

Can I download the slides from the sessions?

No, the slides from the session presentations cannot be downloaded.

Can I still register to the Meet the Professor sessions?

The Meet the Professor live sessions are now open to attend for all registered participants.

Why is the video not playing?

Will there be a possibility for Q&A?

Q&A is not possible in pre-recorded sessions. Speakers have been informed to add e-mail/social media information to their slides in order to enable participants to be able to reach out with questions to be answered at a later time.

Will the sessions be interactive?

All sessions (except for the Forum discussions and Meet the Professor) will be pre-recorded in advance. Live interaction will be available only during the Forum and Meet the Professor sessions.

Will there be an exhibition?

Yes, there will be a virtual exhibition area. 

How do I purchase and use an exhibitor badge?

There is no registration for exhibition only, all exhibitors and participants may access the full virtual meeting.
